About Us

Dallison & Co was founded in 2023 when John Dallison made the move from the Dallison Stone partnership to sole practice.

Our History

John Dallison commenced practice in 1987 working alongside his father Gerald when the firm was known as Harold Smith & Dallison.

Following Gerald's retirement in 2008 Bevan Stone joined the partnership and the firm became Dallison Stone.

In 2023, John Dallison left the partnership and established Dallison & Co, continuing the work of the previous firms.

Dallison & Co is an established law firm with deep roots in the community. We are proud to act for a diverse clientele ranging from major developers to first home buyers together with everything in between.

Our goal is to provide effective, tailored, and straight forward advice that achieves the best outcomes possible for our clients. We understand that no two client's situations are the same and ensure that we take the time to get to know you and businesses first.

Our Team

John Dallison

PRINCIPAL

John has been practicing law in Christchurch since 1986 and has over 39 years' legal experience. Over the course of his career John has built a reputation as a skilled and strategic legal practitioner who takes a practical approach to each matter.

John's expertise covers every aspect of private client work, and he is a trusted advisor to countless businesses, trusts, and private individuals. John is an expert at quickly understanding complex legal issues before breaking them down into easily understandable terms and then communicating this effectively to his clients. Once the issues are understood a plan can be implemented which achieves the desired outcome.

Annaleise Skerrett

LEGAL EXECUTIVE

Annaleise began her legal career as our receptionist in 2017 where she quickly proved herself and moved into a legal secretarial role. She has since completed her Legal Executive studies and is now a registered Legal Executive.

Annaleise's work is primarily focused on property and conveyancing, and she is known in the firm for her keen eye for detail and efficiency in her work.

Leanne Hoy

TRUST ACCOUNT MANAGER

Leanne has been with Dallison & Co's predecessor firms for more than 35 years and is our Trust Account Manager. Leanne is responsible for managing client transactions and financial matters for the firm.

Karen Allen

LEGAL SECRETARY

Karen is an experienced legal secretary with over 30 years experience. Originally from the UK, Karen began her career working for English law firms before moving to New Zealand with her family in 2003.

Since then, Karen has continued to build upon her legal experience with local firms. She has a wealth of experience in property, trust, and estate work and is a great asset to the Dallison & Co team.

Chloe Rosie

RECEPTIONIST

Chloe joined Dallison & Co in early 2022 as a receptionist, bringing with her a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Canterbury. Since then, she has taken on more responsibilities and has now moved into a legal secretarial role within the firm. Her dedication and enthusiasm for her work make her a valuable asset to the team, and she takes great pride in providing excellent service to clients.
